Today, I decided to take on the Data Engineering Journey. There’s truly a vast amount of information and skills to master to become good at this field. It’s not an easy path, as it combines multiple IT skills: programming, databases, architecture, infrastructure, and all the complexities that come with working on large-scale, high-load projects, often within cloud environments.

So, I have 100 days to take this journey seriously, aiming to upgrade my skills and knowledge, while also sharing my progress publicly in the field of big data.

Everything starts with an idea, and ends… well, either it ends or it doesn’t; either we reach the shore or we drift without ever arriving. But I have a goal, and I want to reach that destination without sinking along the way.

Every day, I want to be able to answer the following questions I’ve set for myself:

1. What have you learned?

2. What were 2-3 interesting points?

3. What were 2-3 points you didn’t understand?

4. Where does this skill or best practice fit?

It’s like playing a musical instrument, going to the gym, or learning to drive. The more we practice and train, the better we become at what we dedicate our time to. So, it’s not just about consuming content, it’s about genuinely using the knowledge I already have to practice through exercises and real projects. Applying theoretical knowledge in practice seems to be key, along with, of course, patience.
